My stay at the Sun Hotel was a delightful blend of history and comfort. Located in the heart of Canterbury, this charming and quaint hotel is steeped in character, making it a memorable experience. While the rooms are beautifully decorated, the occasional noise from the lively surroundings can be a drawback, and the WiFi could use some improvement. However, the overall appeal of the hotel makes it worth a visit.

Our stay at the Sun Hotel was a wonderful blend of history and charm. The location was just perfect, right near the cathedral and surrounded by the lovely old streets of Canterbury. The rooms were filled with character and beautifully decorated, although some noise from the street did creep in. The dining experience was enjoyable with the delightful Spanish restaurant on-site, but breakfast was just adequate. Overall, it felt like great value considering the unique experience and ambiance.

Staying at the Sun Hotel was a unique experience, full of character with its historical charm and quaint features. The location couldn’t be better for exploring Canterbury, being right in the middle of everything. While the service could definitely be improved, particularly in communication, the delightful ambiance of the hotel made it worthwhile. However, the amenities were quite lacking, including Wi-Fi and proper dining options, which could enhance the overall experience.

Rooms

Our stay at the hotel was quite charming with its historical character and helpful staff, but there were some issues that detracted from the overall experience. Although the building's age adds a lot of atmosphere, it also means that some things could use improvement. Overall, it’s a good choice for those wanting to immerse themselves in a unique environment, but don't expect everything to be perfect.

Rooms

The rooms were beautifully decorated in a charming English country style, but they felt a bit small and could benefit from fresh, lighter colors to enhance the space.

Breakfast was a bit peculiar since our orders came out at different times, but the food was decent, especially the vegetarian options tailored for dietary needs.
Facilities

The facilities were basic but adequate, with charm coming from the hotel’s historical features rather than modern amenities.

The Sun Hotel offers a unique stay in a charming historic building right in the heart of Canterbury. While the ambiance is delightful and the character of the property is captivating, the overall experience is somewhat diminished by challenges such as outdated decor and issues with amenities. The breakfast options are limited and could use improvement, and the building does have its wear and tear. However, it remains a memorable place to stay, especially for those who appreciate history and architecture.

Rooms

The facilities seemed outdated, with issues like a non-working TV and poor Wi-Fi, which detracted from our experience.
Charming historic architecture
Poor service responsiveness
